My the days seem to go rushing past sometimes!  Summer is truly upon us now as the kids start their summer break and many of us plan on escaping away to some holiday places!  Safe travel and much fun to all!  I would also like to wish all of our American readers a happy Independence Day!  And let's not forget the Eve of Lughnasadh on July 31st!

I wanted to take a moment to remember a lovely lady named Kat Adams who was lost to us this June.  I knew Kat through TABI (Tarot Association of the British Isles).  She was a lovely woman with a bright spirit and will be missed by us all.  Many blessings and light on your new journey Kat....
 

July 4th – Independence Day

On July 4, 1776, the Second Continental Congress unanimously adopted the Declaration of Independence. Though it is the Constitution that provides the legal and governmental framework for the United States, the Declaration, with its eloquent assertion "all Men are created equal," is equally beloved by the American people. On the Declaration's first anniversary, many citizens of Philadelphia had a spontaneous July 4th celebration. But it wasn't until after the War of 1812 that observing Independence Day became commonplace.

Once in Aquarius we find an attraction to all that is new and unusual, and an instinctive need for improvement, characterize the Moon in Aquarius. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional, and interactions are more impersonal than personal, under this influence. The New Moon is in Cancer on Thursday, July 3rd  – Emotional security, a sense of belonging and nurturing: these issues are felt instinctively now. You want roots; you crave a sense of intimate connection that will last - a castle against the vicissitudes of the world, so to speak.

The Moon in Cancer generally favors the following activities: Domestic activities, those that involve awareness of personal needs. Home decor, family get-togethers.
 

July 4th – Mercury leaves the Retrograde Shadow (until Sep.04) Mercury finally leaves the shadow—the part of the zodiac where it went retrograde from May.26 to Jun.19. This means the confusion, delays and miscommunications of the last 2 months have mostly dissipated and things should be more or less back to normal (whatever that is). The difference is that you now have the benefit of seeing things from a different perspective, which gives you more choices than you had before. If you've been waiting until Mercury finished with the retrograde cycle before you made a final decision about something, this can be a good time to decide what direction you want to go. Just don't forget your common sense.

July 10th  – Mercury in Cancer The dive of this intellectual planet into Cancer's sentimental waters tempers logic with feelings. Intimate conversations and personal reflection are favored now. Subjectivity, however, can warp discussions if we deny our personal biases. Acknowledging the differences of our individual perspectives may feel vulnerable when, in fact, it strengthens the potential for more honest and meaningful communication.

July 10th – Mars conjunct Saturn (05:26 of Virgo)
This is one of those good-news/bad-news kinds of transits. The forceful, exuberant energy of Mars meets the cautious, serious energy of Saturn. This combination can create a lot of productivity or a lot of frustration – and often both. The wild horse of Mars energy can become a workhorse when combined with Saturn's discipline, capable of sustained effort that can bring concrete results. But it may also bring impatience from having your efforts blocked or delayed, or having to be accountable for impulsive actions. If having to conform to discipline, limitation and responsibility tend to trigger you into resisting and fighting back, you might feel a lot of anger and frustration under this transit. On the other hand, it could also help you come to terms with a difficult reality or decision, to take the necessary initial steps that can lead to long-term achievement and development. It is a good time to take action that has been carefully considered and planned out, or to start making plans for a long-term project.

July 12th – Venus in Leo Alluring Venus's entry into playful and creative Leo puts a dash of show business into everyone's life. Whether we're showing off or showing how generous we can be, hearts are opening wider now. The drama of romance may produce promises that will be difficult to keep, requiring a stepping down of expectations to match the coming reality. Still, taking risks of self-expression is rewarding in the act itself and, perhaps, in the applause and affection it gets from others..

July 26th - Mercury in Leo Dramatic speech and creative ideas brighten life with promises that sometimes go over the top. It is, perhaps, better to go too far in sharing your hopes than cutting them off at the knees. Mercury in Leo is a time to paint the walls in bold colors and express yourself more openly. Don't hold back; retouching and editing start when Mercury enters Virgo on August 10.

The Lady of the Harvest let's us know that it is time to accept change, to move on to the next phase in our journey. Power and strength in the present and future come from releasing the past. This is a time of liberation, and we might as well cooperate with it. It will happen, whether we want it to or not. Release and liberation may be painful or joyful, depending on the circumstances. Cry if you need to, be joyful if that is appropriate, but in either case trust the process, acknowledge what you feel, and prepare to move on.
